Thomas O’Connor holds his doctorate from the Sorbonne. He teaches European history in National University of Ireland Maynooth and is currently director of the Arts and Humanities Institute there. He edits the history sources journal, Archivium Hibernicum, is a member of the Irish Manuscripts Commission and sits on the board of the Fondation irlandaise, Paris. His latest publication, jointly edited with Liam Chambers, is College communities abroad: education, migration and Catholics in early modern Europe (Manchester University Press, 2018)
