As part of the Annual Graduate History Symposium, we invite you to our closing keynote address by Professor Mary Jane McCallum (University of Winnipeg). Her talk, entitled: "Miss Chief: The Obscure History of First Nations Female Suffrage and Leadership," will be held in the Debate Room at Hart House from 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m. This lecture is open to the public, and does not require an RSVP.

Professor Mary Jane McCallum is a member of the Department of History at the University of Winnipeg. Her scholarship is focused on Indigenous-state relations, Indigenous women's history and modern Indigenous history, especially in the fields of health, education and labour.
