Biography : 

Yu-Han Huang is a historian of modern East Asia with a specialization in Taiwan and Korea under Japanese colonialism and the Cold War. His ongoing dissertation project draws on the history of Taiwanese and South Korean urbanism during the Cold War. With a particular interest in concrete as building technology and material, Yu-Han's dissertation aims to explore the interconnections between urban environment, anti-communism, and nation-building in post-World War II Taiwan and South Korea.
