Biography
Hannah Cooley is a historian of modern North America, with a particular interest in media history and histories of activism. Her dissertation research looks at newspapers and magazines produced by Indigenous communities located in Canada and the United States in the 1960s and 1970s to examine the ways journalistic production and dissemination contributed to Indigenous rights movements that transcended these colonial nations' borders.
