Start Date and Time:

Saturday, March 16, 2019, 5:00PM

End Date and Time:

We’d like to invite you to join us at a celebration of Natalie Zemon Davis’ 90th birthday that our Department is hosting at the annual meeting of The Renaissance Society of America (RSA) in Toronto in mid March.  The RSA recognized Natalie Zemon Davis’ many contributions to Renaissance scholarship when it awarded her the Paul Oskar Kristeller Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.  Friends and colleagues in Toronto have always been particularly grateful for her support:  in the early 1960s while Zemon Davis was teaching in the Department of History at the University of Toronto, she joined with others to establish both the Toronto Renaissance & Reformation Colloquium (TRRC) and the journal Renaissance and Reformation/Renaissance et Réforme (R&R).

Toronto friends and colleagues would now like to return the favour by inviting participants in RSA 2019 to a concert and reception in honour of Natalie Zemon Davis’ 90th Birthday.  Our celebration of and with Natalie will take place on Saturday 16 March 2019 from 5:00-7:30 at Victoria College.

Please join us to thank her!
