Presentation of book and conversation with oral historian Anam Zakaria, author of 1971: A Peoples History from Bangledesh, Pakistan and India, published in 2020 by Penguin India. Zakaria is the author of three books on the history of violence in South Asia, including the award-winning The Footprints of Partition: Narratives of Four Generations of Pakistanis and Indians.
